30/10/17 - International Trade Brief

Monday 30th October - BCR, Esturary House, Exeter

International Trade Brief is a series of quarterly events for those engaged in or interested in International Trade. Curated by both Devon Chamber of Commerce and the Devon International Trade Forum (DITF) this event is designed to bring news, views and discussions to Devon’s International Trading community.
For the first of these events we will receive insight into a selection of Brexit "What ifs" from an economic and political perspective.

There is no doubt that Brexit is very much in the news and rightfully so. To be successful in business is it necessary to build on certainty yet capitalise on opportunities as they occur. How can we make sure we are best placed to continue trading internationally once Brexit D Day is reached?

Maintaining and increasing current trading levels with European customers is paramount for the future prosperity of Devon. But what will happen if no set agreement is reached, will we have a hard, soft or even a soft boiled Brexit? Will you know how to carry on your business in terms of International Trade?

We aim to present a number of potential outcomes and the actions you would need to take if they materialise. We will address the certainties, the uncertain and even attempt to identify some of the unknowns to equip you with a wider appreciation of the ‘What if’s’
